The Roparun is a non-stop estafette marathon from Paris to Rotterdam. An approximate 516km of running for a good cause, namely fundraising as much money as possible to fund cancerresearch, to honor lost and much beloved friends or family, fighting for those who are still struggeling with the disease, and to celebrate life with the ones who kicked its ass & survived. After three days of running, true hero’s finish at the Coolsingel in Rotterdam.
Three days with 275 teams, drivers, massagers, volunteers and especially those who donated money and stand by en route to cheer, to support and to show that they care. Along the route when crossing several city’s and villages, the crowd is cheering and… partying. Citystreets are being transformed in a walk of fame al the way to the next. Due to the non-stop running, sometimes that means for a true supporter non-stop drinking and partying until you can’t cheer no more, and the last runner has past your town.
Since 2012, there’s a second startingpoint in Hamburg, Germany adding 150 more teams.
Every year, some of the runningteams are getting smaller and smaller. Think about that for a second. www.roparun.org
